Lokale bloemetjes Amsterdam

Lokale bloemetjes is a sustainable and local alternative to conventional flower cultivation in the Amsterdam region. In their picking garden you can come and pick a bunch of flowers yourself!

How does it work?

Very simple. When you arrive at their self-service flower station, you can pick up a pair of scissors and a vase that you can fill with a layer of water.  Then you can go into the picking garden, where you can pick all the blooming flowers you see until your vase is full.

The picking garden opened its doors in the late summer of 2017 as the first picking garden in Amsterdam. In those 5 years Lokale Bloemetjes has become a real attraction for the Gardens of West. The garden is open from June to November, Wednesday to Sunday, 8:00 to 20:00!
