Stek is run by a group of enthusiastic green professionals, each with their own specific background and experience. They all love plants, people and want to make the world a bit more beautiful. They felt that the heart of Rotterdam was missing something. A place where people without a car can go to make their immediate living environment greener. A place to gain inspiration and share knowledge. A place where you can get tips and advice about plants, weeds, growing vegetables, composting but also about starting a neighbourhood garden on that one piece of fallow land.

At Stek they want to make our immediate environment greener and more lively

They do this by offering resources and knowledge in the store. But also by actively deploying themselves and their knowledge in the neighbourhood. Various facade gardens have already been laid out and even true vegetable mounds have arisen in Heemraadspark, Rotterdam. In addition, they work on their own projects, aimed at a green living environment and natural gardening. A must go!
