Founder Brad Vanstone’s mission is to make plant-based cheeses that are not only good for the environment, but tastes as close to the real thing as possible. He believes this is key to creating a viable long-term market. What better place to start than in the cheese-loving country of The Netherlands? He started Willicroft which is located on the atmospheric Spiegelgracht in a stately building in Amsterdam.
They started producing cheese from cashew nuts and expanded this with various beans
It was originally a dairy farm but has changed to a company that is fully committed to producing vegetable cheese. They make planet-proof, plant-based cheese without sacrificing flavour or texture. Their goal is to produce products that are good for the planet and to be transparent about it and always develop further.
