Anastasia Beketova gets inspiration from herself every day, she says. She is a talented Russian entrepreneur who opened her own flower shop, Mon Pioen, at the Roelof Hartstraat in Amsterdam. 

When she was young her mother had a flower shop in Russia. She helped her but wasn’t allowed to decorate as much as she wanted to. That’s why she wanted to do it herself and all different. She wanted her own style, beautiful and modern. Just like in the fashion world there are trends in the flower world. Anastasia wanted to be part of that. That’s why she moved to the land of flowers: the Netherlands.

At Mon Pioen they have various specialities, such as bouquets, dried flowers, flower boxes, workshops and events. At the moment the workshops are extremely popular – it’s a way to get away from home for a while, and do something with your hands. In the workshops you will learn their popular spiral technique and how to choose the right flowers for each bouquet. The flower boxes are also favorite by the customers. Ideal as a present at a wedding.’
